Pulse Health Association, a Jordanian youth-led organization registered within the Ministry of Health in 2021, addressing SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), and mental health, alongside a primary focus on the HIV/AIDS file (Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). We aim to serve all humans while mainly targeting most vulnerable and marginalized groups, including people living with HIV (PLHIV), people at high risk of contracting HIV, women, youth, underrepresented groups, economically disadvantaged people across the kingdom, especially hard-to-reach communities. Pulse members came from different and diverse walks of life serving diverse individuals facing vulnerability, marginalization, stigmatization, and discrimination. We started through social media platforms to raise awareness about HIV, STIs, SRHR, mental health, the hurdles of PLHIV and individuals at high risk of contracting the virus.
A society where all individuals, regardless of their background, have equitable and safe access to sexual and reproductive health services, including mental health, and are empowered to understand, prevent and manage HIV and STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections).
To enhance the health and well-being of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Jordan by addressing SRHR, mental health, and HIV through education, advocacy, and inclusive service delivery, ensuring no one is left behind.
Pulse ensures representing itself and its members as a part of the Jordanian community through believing in policies as follows:
-
Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all.
-
Preserve human dignity for all.
-
Ensure safety, security, and inclusion of all.
-
All initiatives, projects, programs, and contents are for education and awareness purposes.
-
Respect all religious, cultural, societal, and individual perspectives.
-
Pulse does not aim to encourage or promote any behavior that does not align with the human’s personal beliefs, the Jordanian law, the local culture, the religious beliefs, and the public.
